Michaela and Jonathan are not only lucky to have each other…(They are an AMAZING couple) but their March 5th wedding day was a beautiful day. It started out with joyful tears. The next photo is Michaela’s dad seeing her for the first time in her dress. And next is Jonathan wanting a hotdog at a stand. We got a few city snaps before heading off to the Central Park Boathouse.
Sarah and Steve at Stone Barns
I love photographing at Stone Barns. It is it so inspirational there…the farm, the animals, the food. I recommend anyone with a small wedding to get married there. We had a beautiful day not only because of the amazing environment but Sarah and Steve were awesome to work with!!!
Kat and Jonathan
Kat and Jonathan love Prospect Park. They got married at the boat house and they wanted photos in the park. They has a super beautiful afternoon on their wedding day. Jonathan took an 11 mile run before getting ready. Kat got an amazing gorgeous flower put in her hair. I had a lovely time here. Kat’s mom was really helpful in the morning moving the room around, cleaning off mirrors so I could take some photos in them.
This photo was done for Jonathan who lOVES his cat.. the other was hiding and I had to prioritize…Photos of “KAT” or photos of “Cat”…
I lOVED this hair piece. Getting in a limo is no easy feat. Kat practically rolled into the limo. I love this photo.. Kat’s dad holding her bouquet is one of my favorite photos. He looked at me with that…”Don’t take a photo of me with these flowers..look” I had to..He was so cute.
This is a first. Swim cap party favors…These guys all do triathlons..
Becky and April
“So who here is because they know the BRIDE?” All hands went waving in the air. Becky and April got hitched on Vashon Island In Seattle in a field in the back area of their friend’s house. This was a 20’s 30’s themed wedding as you can see by the flapper outfits they both wore…keeping with some tradition…one in white and one in black. April is a sommelier and Becky a chef so as you can imagine the food and wine choices were excellent. This was a family event so first some pre-wedding photos of Alex, the oldest nephew. He is 15, watches Jon Stewart, and reads more books in a month then most do in years.
April had her brother walk her down the aisle. Awesome outfits. I don’t know if you can see but in the corner is someone drinking a martini. This is a great wedding when it’s Ok to have fancy drinks during the ceremony.
Becky is walking with her dad and on the way stops to pet her dog waiting patiently for her to walk by.
Once the ceremony started the fun began. Becky and April both addressed the crowd in their humorous and confident ways. Instead of breaking bread, Becky offered up a head of cabbage and April countered her offer some fancy wine. Becky read her vows from an orange post it note and they both practically stampeded the breaking of the glass.
After the ceremony they had a quick drinky drinky…I just love those glasses..
Their very cool lady friends are in this photo…I love the outfits.
And the party began with Tin Pan Band, some swing dance performances, some swing dance lessons
and then of course the Horah. Becky couldn’t decide if she wanted to be in a dress or a suit for the occasion, so why choose. Just change. Here she is with a tie and hat and suspenders. Cool huh?
This was a fun wedding!!!!
Justine and John
Justine, John, both their families AND their friends were so great to work with. I had a blast hanging out in the limo with everyone and then a beautiful time going down to the beach with John and Justine. John picked Justine up really high and she screeched with laughter. Weddings are supposed to be filled with laughter.
Angela and Uri
Angela and Uri are an amazing couple. They are as creative as they are kind. They are as sensitive as they are generous. They endured the 95 degree heat like champs. I loved working with them…They got ready at their apartment in the East Village. They were so relaxed they hosted a lunch in the afternoon for about 20 friends and family. Uri has great taste in his suit and tie, and Angela’s friend made her dress. They had a car service organized but since it fell through at the last minute the three of us took a cab together. That was more fun for all of us!! Down to Dumbo and Galapagos where I was able to meet more of their amazingly fun friends and family.
Clifton and Gaelle
Mary and Vasili
Mary is the loveliest, most charming person you could ever meet..and Vasili adores her. Everyone adores her. She is pregnant for her wedding and proud of it…and is only a few months from delivering. They had a grand time..at the River Cafe.
